Hello and welcome!
January 15th, 2007We’ve finally made it here - and I almost have to pinch myself. It’s taken a year and half for this kukunest baby to hatch. Teri and I will be using this blog as a way to let you know what’s up at kukunest as we grow and to share with you our personal stories. And, as we’re always on the lookout for cool kids’ crafts and decor ideas, we’ll be putting those right here as well.
By way of introduction, I’m Laura, one half of the kukunest team and I got here through a rather circuitous route. I didn’t graduate from design school. But without realizing it, I’ve been preparing for this moment for years. All my art education, my experience running a small arts organization, and passion for design propelled me to this place. There are so many things that needed to happen before I could get to this point, but mainly to have the unbelievable luck to run into Ms. Teri Dimalanta who has become business partner and friend extraordinaire. (And the sleep deprivation training i received upon becoming a mother hasn’t hurt either. 
)
