In search of the perfect bunk bed
May 27th, 2009Recently, I’ve been scoping out the very many choices of bunk beds. Let me first say that my girls’ bedroom is the equivalent of most people’s walk in closet. As you can imagine, a bunk bed is the only option we’re considering. There’s a lot to choose from and I’ve listed some highlights of my search so far.
This moda bunk bed from Room and Board is contemporary and clean. The design is simple enough to go with any style of children’s bedding, whether traditional or modern. (Naturally, we’d be using kukunest kid’s bedding)

But I also fancy this this uber modern and fun bunk bed from duc duc. Two things I appreciate about this one – it uses my favorite color, orange, and it has storage.

Argington’s Uffizi bunk bed is also a great alternative as it can be configured 4 different ways. Its also eco friendly as its made from sustainable wood and use low VOC.

One of my favorite bunk bed is NurseryWork’s Duet. This set is entirely modular so that when the kids get tired of bunking, they can be unstacked into 2 very cool twin beds.

Check out these bunk beds by designer Philippe Allaeys. They are floating pieces of art and perfect for the minimalist:
